Split into three levels, the Canine Life Skills courses utilise reward-based and fear-free learning techniques, making them perfect for all dogs and owners. 1
Level One
Suitable for beginners, this level covers all the essential cues you and your dog need to know. Topics covered include how to communicate with your dog, how dogs learn, and understanding your dog’s emotional states.

Duration: 4 x 1-hour lessons over 4 weeks

Location: At your home (suitable places for training may include your backyard or a quiet room). The fourth lesson is conducted at a local park.

Prerequisites: None! Just a willingness to learn and at least 30 minutes a day broken up for training.

Included: Clicker and Certificate of Achievement

Level Two
Following on from Level 1, learn how to teach your dog more complex behaviours. Topics include target training, proofing skills, and providing enrichment to promote mental and physical health in your dog.

Level Three
Master the skills to teach your dog to be a respectable canine citizen. Topics include understanding and fostering positive dog-to-dog interactions, and using cooperative care techniques to improve dog health and wellbeing.

My dog already knows some of the skills in Level 1. What course do I start with?
If your dog only knows a few of the skills, we recommend still completing Level 1. As our courses are all one-on-one (that means just you, your dog and the trainer), we can modify lessons to suit your needs. Plus, there's always heaps to learn and room for improvement! However, if you think you are ready for a higher level, we can do a single session to catch you up on anything you missed from previous levels.
I have two or more dogs I want to sign up.
Lucky you! Additional family dogs can join a course for $100. You will need a responsible human for each dog participating in training.
Note that we recommend that you make time to train each of your dogs separately so you can give them your full attention.
Are the courses run in a class with other dogs?
Nope! Our courses are completely one-on-one so we can focus on you and your dog.
My dog has behavioural problems, will the Canine Life Skills course help?
Our Canine Life Skills course is focused on improving communication between you and your dog, and giving you the tools to train your dog the skills they need to be polite, friendly, and well-mannered. The course does not address specific problem behaviours however is aimed more at preventing them.

For help with problem behaviours, please contact us regarding individual sessions.
How to sign up
If you are a current client - sign in to our client portal, and purchase your chosen course via 'Scheduling' and then 'Add Package'.
​
If you are a new client, you will need to create an account with us. We have amazing software that keeps track of you and your pet's information, invoices and payments, scheduling, messaging, and booking new services. We even have a mobile app!
​
Once you have created an account, use the scheduling tab to purchase a dog training package to get started!
